Curchi is situated close to Orhei, in Codru. Founded in the 18th century, it was closed down in the middle of the 20th and turned into a psychiatric hospital. It stayed that way for about 50 years, and was reverted back into a monastery in 2002.
As we’ve established last time, the reason for visiting Old Orhei back in June was my cousin’s wedding. So most of the party climbed up for a decent photoshoot. At first I attempted to follow suit.
Partly because I was a little afraid of these guys.
At the end of June this year I visited Old Orhei. I’ve been there before and took lots and lots of photos with my point-and-shoot. Figure it was time for a bit of an update.
